Elizabeth Gaskell Plaque
Mrs Elizabeth Gaskell, author (1810 – 1865) lived in Knutsford during part of her childhood and later humorously recreated some of her observations in her novel entitled Cranford, although many of her other works demonstrated her understanding of the ills of Victorian England.
