Exhibitions

In 2018 we hosted the following exhibitions: 7th August to 15th August – We participated in the national Heritage Open Days (HODS) programme with two guided tours spotlighting Knutsford’s Remarkable Women and hosted a series of four poetry readings by Margaret Holbrook featuring Extraordinary Women from History, Life, Film and Fiction. 30th January to 7th April – Mid-Cheshire Railways Posters Exhibition 1st May to 27th August – The Life of Edward Penny RA and Knutsford local Artists
In 2017 we hosted four exhibitions January 3rd– to18th March – Treasures from the Archives Tuesday 28th March   Sunday 4th June – Lions Clubs International Centenary  2017 Tuesday 2nd May  to Sunday 4th June – Royal May Day Tuesday 20th June  to Saturday 16th Dec – Today’s Businesses are Tomorrow’s Heritage

May Day – A Century of Change

We are currently planning a new exhibition to commence on Tuesday 9th April 2019, which will look at how the Knutsford May Day celebrations have changed over the last 100 years. We are delighted to announce “The Lord Eldon” public house in Tatton Street as our Exhibition Sponsor.

 

New for Groups in 2019 – Discover Historic Knutsford and Tabley House.

Take a Tour of the Knutsford Heritage Centre with its Millennium Tapestry combined with a  guided tour around Knutsford in the morning followed by a visit to Grade 1 Tabley House with its unique collection of Paintings, Furniture and Memorabilia.
Lunch and Afternoon Tea available.

Knutsford Heritage Centre opened in 1989 and is run entirely by Volunteers. It collects , displays and interprets the history of Knutsford for the benefit of both local people and visitors.
