Diana Bernice Tackley
Local Artist Diana Bernice Tackley will be painting at the Heritage Centre as part of the Edward Penny & Knutsford Local Artists Exhibition. Bernice is a versatile contemporary artist inspired by light, colour and texture and is well known for her inland waterway paintings and landscapes. Tall Ship to Antarctica
Join local couple Andy and Lynne for an exciting adventure to The Antarctic. In 2017 they were apprentice sailors on a tall ship. They also visited the Falkland Islands and South Georgia and have some fascinating photos of landscapes and wildlife of the region.

Brian Price ran away to sea at the age of 16 and eventually became Cruise Director on the QE2 and QM2. His talk will be a most entertaining and interesting look at life at sea, and a humorous observation of passenger behaviour on cruise ships.

The Stanleys were a many-branched family and included the Earls of Derby as well as Knutsford's own Lady Jane Stanley. The Alderley family had their share of oddities and Clare Pye from Tabley House will include in her talk gamblers, womenisers and a Lord who converted to Islam.
Alderley Park was the seat of this branch of the family. Astra Zeneca took over the site in the 1950s and remained there until 2013.
The First Lord Knutsford
A chance discovery of a C19 photograph album in the Heritage Centre archives prompted Mary Gracie, one of the volunteers, to find out about Lord Knutsford, to whom the album had been presented.
With invaluable assistance from the Centre's Archivist, this talk will feature many local photos from the album, some rarely seen before, and will chart the life and career of Henry Holland, Viscount Knutsford, and Henry Hill the photographer
