Do you have a story to tell about Knutsford?

Maybe you remember life in the town during World War II, or moved here in the 1960s when Longridge was built. Have you bumped into film or TV stars filming in the town? As part of the run up to July's Knutsford Promenades - an event which will see the town transformed into a stage set as actors, musicians and dancers bring its history and heritage to life - the organisers are holding two special memory events at the Knutsford Heritage Centre.

Project director Robert Meadows said  "The memories can be anything from a detailed story about an historic Knutsford event to a small vignette which encapsulates a moment in time of life in the town."

More than 100 young people and adults will be involved in bringing the open air promenades to life but the organisers would like to see more people and organisations taking part.  "More information about the Knutsford Promenades is now available at Knutsford Library," said Robert.

If you would like to participate as a performer or can help with supporting the event please email promenades@knutsfordtowncouncil.gov.uk, phone the Heritage Centre on 01565 650506, or drop off a letter at the Heritage Centre, 90A King Street.

"We promise an entertaining and enriching experience that is free for all which will bring together local talent and creativity as well as helping local people learn more about Knutsford’s arts and heritage organisations."
